AWOKE India Foundation (AIF) is a Non-Profit working in the area of financial inclusion and literacy for the last 11 years. AWOKE India Foundation (AIF), is the only SEBI-recognized Investor Association (IA) in Uttar Pradesh. AIF has been engaged in promoting financial literacy and facilitating financial inclusion. AWOKE India is also implementing the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) project of RBI in 76 blocks in 22 districts of Uttar Pradesh and 11 districts of Bihar for imparting Financial Literacy to rural adults & getting banking linkages. We have covered a population of 1.1 million in 5 years.
We are pleased to announce that we are organizing a Seminar on Social Stock Exchange on the theme “Empowering Social Enterprises in Pursuit of Viksit Bharat” on 24th February 2024 (Saturday) at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow from 09:30 AM to 02:00 PM followed by lunch.
The Lucknow Management Association (LMA) a top-rated chapter of AIMA, is the knowledge partner in the seminar and NSE is the exclusive Stock Exchange partner.
Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget of 19-20 announced the setting up of a fund-raising platform “Social Stock Exchange” under the regulatory ambit of SEBI for social enterprises and voluntary organizations working for the realization of a social welfare objective so that they can raise capital to fund their social projects. NSE is a pioneer in setting up a social stock exchange with the listing of the first NGO under the exchange. NSE is a key partner in this event.
The Seminar is aimed at bringing awareness about fundraising through the Social Stock Exchange and capacity building of Social Enterprises for preparing in terms of Corporate Governance & Financial Management.
Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, APC & IIDC has kindly consented to be the Guest of Honor for the program. Dr K V Raju, Economic Advisor to Hon’ble CM- Government of Uttar Pradesh will be the Guest of Honor and Hon’ble Minister of Social Welfare Shri Asim Arun is expected to be the Chief Guest for the Session. We are happy to advise that Dr R Balasubramaniam, Member HR & Capacity Building Commission, Government of India has consented to be the Guest of Honor for the program and Shri Amarjeet Singh, Whole Time Member, SEBI has agreed to be the keynote speaker. Several eminent professionals and practitioners from academics, industry, and policymakers from the government shall be part of the event.
