Last 3 days - Participate Now: Your response will shape the Doing Good Index for India!

Want to change the narrative of the NPO Sector in India? Participate in the 5th edition of the Ease of Doing Good Index in Asian economies. (Survey questions are in हिंदी and English)

GuideStar India is pleased to partner with the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), for the fifth time, for Indian NPOs (NGOs/ VOs/ SDOs) to participate in the Doing Good Index, a comprehensive study geared towards helping the social sector in Asia grow and thrive.

You have been working on the ground in the pursuit of your mission to change lives, to create a better planet, for a brighter tomorrow! You would have embraced new ways of working, coped with the challenges of compliance and reporting to stakeholders, while continuing to mobilise resources from existing and new channels.

Pause for a few minutes to share your experience! Yes, your response to this survey will help generate the Doing Good Index for India, which would then serve as an important guide for stakeholders to take action towards creating a more enabling environment to do good.

This survey asks for your response on factors determining success for organisations like yours, including the time taken to register and comply with requirements as a not for profit entity; to meet obligations for tax-exemption, tax deduction and FCRA; opportunities and criteria to seek government contracts; opportunities and challenges to raise funds, etc. Given that we are inching closer to the year 2030, this year’s survey also includes a set of questions on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The data collected will help us identify the social sector’s needs moving forward, and propose actions for the public and private sectors to help meet those needs. Your insights will also be invaluable in highlighting how social sector challenges—such as difficulties in raising funds, procedural delays, and the shortage of talent—can be addressed.

Your responses and identity will be kept strictly confidential.

The survey should take approximately 45 minutes to complete. It does not have to be completed in one sitting.

The overall findings will be published and shared with you and other stakeholders, including government and donors.

Ultimately, the Doing Good Index hopes to facilitate positive outcomes such as improved regulations, increased trust, and greater philanthropic giving and support for the social sector.
